Our wigs are made of 100% human hair.
Consider the following methods to distinguish if a wig is made of human hair:
1. Texture and Feel:
2. Heat Resistance:
Human hair can withstand heat from styling tools like straighteners and curling irons without melting or damage, whereas synthetic hair can be damaged or even melted by high temperatures.
3. Burn Test:
4. Color Variation:
5. Shine:
6. Static Electricity:
7. Tangle Test:
Human hair is less prone to tangling than synthetic hair.
8. Cost:
Real human hair tends to be more expensive than synthetic hair. If the price seems too good to be true, it might be synthetic.
9. Water Test:
10. Consult a Professional:
If you're uncertain, seek advice from a professional hairstylist or extension specialist. They often have experience working with both human and synthetic hair and can provide guidance.
Currently, the majority of our wigs come in a standard medium size, measuring 22.5 inches in circumference.
However, our senior wigs feature a slightly larger size at 22.8 inches. All our wigs are equipped with combs, elastic bands, or adjustable straps for a secure fit.
If you require a smaller or larger size, we offer customization ranging from 20.5 to 24.5 inches for an additional $30 fee. Simply specify your desired cap size in the notes section during checkout or email us at service@soulladywigs.com.
While we strive to accurately represent our wigs on our website, please note that slight variations may occur during shipping over long distances. The images showcased depict the wigs after professional styling to highlight their full potential. Minor adjustments may be required upon receipt to achieve your desired look.
We recommend minimal styling to maintain the wig's integrity. With a bit of attention, your wig will look just as fabulous as depicted in our products.
The color of natural black hair can be dyed. However, we don't recommend dyeing a pre-colored wig again as a second-time dyeing process can damage the hair. If you do need to dye a pre-colored wig, we suggest consulting a professional hairstylist.

Most of our closure lace wigs (4×4, 5×5 or 6x4) can be comfortably worn without glue as long as the cap size fits. Securing the wig can be accomplished using combs, elastic bands, and adjustable straps located inside the wig cap. For Lace Front Wigs(13x4,13x6), a glue is recommended.
For wigs with looser curls such as body wave or loose wave, we suggest washing them at least twice a week. Wigs with tighter curls should be washed once a week or more frequently if needed. Proper care is essential to extend the life of your wig. Follow these daily hair care tips:
Use a wide-toothed comb or a wig brush to detangle the hair gently, starting from the tips and gradually working your way up to the roots.
2. Avoid Heat Damage:
Limit the use of heated styling tools such as flat irons, curling irons, and blow dryers to prevent damage. If styling is necessary, use low heat settings.
3. Washing:
Follow the our instructions for washing your wig. Use a mild, wig-specific shampoo and conditioner. Gently wash the wig in warm water.
4. Drying:
Pat the wig dry with a clean towel and let it air dry on a wig stand to maintain its shape. Avoid wringing or twisting the wig while wet.
5.Avoid Sunlight and Heat:
Store your wig away from direct sunlight and heat sources when not in use. Excessive exposure to sunlight and heat can cause the fibers to break down and lose their color.
6. Use Wig-Specific Products:
Choose styling and care products specifically designed for wigs to maintain their quality and appearance.
7. Prevent Friction:
Minimize friction by avoiding rubbing the wig against rough surfaces. When not in use, store it in a satin or silk bag to prevent tangling.
8. Be Cautious with Coloring:
If you want to change the color of your wig, consider consulting a professional wig stylist. Using harsh chemicals may damage the fibers.
9. Regular Inspection:
Periodically check the wig for any signs of damage, such as fraying or shedding. Address any issues promptly to prolong the wig's lifespan.
10. Secure During Activities:
If engaging in physical activities, secure the wig properly to prevent it from shifting or falling off.
A: Washing your wig regularly helps keep it looking as fresh and natural as possible.
To achieve this:
•Fill a sink with water( warm water would be better).
•Add a small amount of shampoo with hair care ingredients, and submerge your wig.
•Squeeze out any excess water, being careful not to wring it out.
•Rinse thoroughly in water, then gently squeeze out any excess liquid again and dry with a towel.
Alternatively when you don’t have time for a full wash, spray your human hair wig with water mixed with conditioner. Just like in real hair, a little bit
of moisture will help curls bounce back and appear fresh. This will make your curls mimic what naturally healthy curls look like after they’ve been
dampened with some water.
A: Static, wearing wig in a wrong method, store wig in a wrong place. It’s not strange that wigs will get tangled.
To keep tangles from being a huge problem:
•Try doing a deep conditioning treatment on your wig before and after wearing it. You can do so by using products like coconut oil or olive oil and conditioner.
•Don't put too much product(hair spray)in your hair because that can lead to more tangling than usual.
•At least once per week, soak your wig in warm water. Take it out and apply conditioner product liberally through all of your hair, starting at your ends and working up toward roots.
•Sit back and let your wig absorb the nutrition for about 20 minutes.
•After the time is up, rinse with warm water and follow up with a cool water rinse to close cuticles.
•Use a soft towel to gently blot excess water away from the skin, leaving only what washes off naturally during the toweling off process.
Maintaining the pattern of a curly wig requires proper care and attention to prevent frizz and preserve the curls. Here are some tips:
1. Detangling:
Gently detangle the wig with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers, starting from the tips and working your way up. Avoid aggressive brushing to prevent disrupting the curl pattern.
2. Washing:
Use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for curly hair or wigs. Wash the wig in cold water and be gentle to avoid disturbing the curls.
3. Conditioning:
Apply a leave-in conditioner or a specialized curly hair product to keep the curls hydrated and defined. Use a light touch to avoid weighing down the curls.
4. Air Drying:
Allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand or a mannequin head to maintain its natural curl pattern. Avoid using heat styling tools, as excessive heat can cause the curls to loosen or become frizzy.
5. Avoiding Heat:
When heat styling, use a diffuser on a low heat setting to protect the hair. Excessive heat can damage the cuticle or alter the curl pattern of human hair wigs.
6. Sleeping Care:
Before bedtime, loosely braid or twist the wig to maintain the curls. Alternatively, use a satin or silk scarf or a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and prevent frizz.
7. Avoiding Harsh Products:
Stay away from products that contain alcohol or harsh chemicals, as these can strip the wig of its natural oils and lead to dryness and frizz.
8. Regular Maintenance:
Periodically inspect the wig for any signs of frizz, tangling, or damage. Address issues promptly to prevent them from worsening.
9. Protective Styles:
Consider protective styles, such as loose braids or twists, to minimize friction and maintain the curl pattern during periods when the wig is not in use.
10. Professional Styling:
If you're uncertain about maintaining the wig's curl pattern, consult a professional wig stylist. They can provide advice on care routines and offer styling tips.
