Our wigs are made of 100% human hair.

Consider the following methods to distinguish if a wig is made of human hair:

1. Texture and Feel:

• Human hair generally feels softer and smoother than synthetic hair.
• Human hair has a natural texture, which may include variations in thickness along the strand.

2. Heat Resistance:

Human hair can withstand heat from styling tools like straighteners and curling irons without melting or damage, whereas synthetic hair can be damaged or even melted by high temperatures.

3. Burn Test:

• Cut a small strand of hair and burn it.
• Human hair burns and smells like real hair, producing a light ash.
• Synthetic hair tends to melt, producing a plastic-like smell and residue.

4. Color Variation:

• Human hair often has natural color variations and highlights.
• Synthetic hair may have a more uniform color throughout the strands.

5. Shine:

• Human hair has a more natural shine, which is often less glossy than synthetic hair.
• Synthetic hair can have a shiny or plastic-like appearance.

6. Static Electricity:

• Rub the hair strands together.
• Synthetic hair tends to generate more static electricity, causing the strands to cling together.

7. Tangle Test:

Human hair is less prone to tangling than synthetic hair.

8. Cost:

Real human hair tends to be more expensive than synthetic hair. If the price seems too good to be true, it might be synthetic.

9. Water Test:

• Human hair absorbs water, so if you wet it, it will become heavier.

Our standard cap measures 22.5 inches in circumference. Every wig has a breathable elastic band and an adjustable drawstring or straps, so the same cap adapts to head circumferences from roughly 21.5 to 24 inches. You set the tension yourself rather than choosing a size at checkout.

To measure: wrap a soft tape from your natural hairline, just above your ears, and around the nape of your neck. Keep it flat, not tight.

There is no extra charge on any standard in-stock wig - the price you see is the price.

While we strive to accurately represent our wigs on our website, please note that slight variations may occur during shipping over long distances. The images showcased depict the wigs after professional styling to highlight their full potential. Minor adjustments may be required upon receipt to achieve your desired look.

We recommend minimal styling to maintain the wig's integrity. With a bit of attention, your wig will look just as fabulous as depicted in our products.

Our salt and pepper hair is not dyed. We select white hair and blend it with naturally dark hair, so there is no colour on it to work over.

We do not recommend dyeing it. Gray and white strands have little or no pigment, so dye grabs unevenly and goes patchy, and bleach has nothing to lift. The hair also cannot repair itself the way growing hair does.

If you want a different depth of gray, changing shade is safer than changing the wig - our four blends run from Light through Standard and Medium to Dark. Email service@soulladywigs.com with a daylight photo and we will tell you which one to move to.

One exception: our brown-and-gray blends do use colour on the brown portion.

A: Because the express company handles shipment, we cannot guarantee the exact time of delivery. However, we will give you an idea of when the package will arrive. We suggest you to make orders 3-5 days in advance thus you will have sufficient time for shipping.

For your security, please be aware that first-time order can only be delivered to the card holder's shipping address or a corporate work address which we are able to verify independently. To avoid delays of your order, please ensure your shipping address matches the address on your card statement, and that the card holder's name is written as it appears on the card. Please also ensure that your contact details are filled in accurately, so that we can contact you when necessary.

A: We definitely will deliver your order in time under normal circumstances. While, shipping delays may occur due to holidays, natural disasters, or carrier delays. Please keep in mind holidays do not count as a business day and should be considered when calculating shipping times. 

A: Once the parcel has been shipped out. We will send the tracking number to you by email. If you haven't received your order in 1 week, you can send us a e-mail about your order then our customer service will help you to check your package.

Most of our closure lace wigs (4×4, 5×5 or 6x4) can be comfortably worn without glue as long as the cap size fits. Securing the wig can be accomplished using combs, elastic bands, and adjustable straps located inside the wig cap. For Lace Front Wigs(13x4,13x6), a glue is recommended.

Wash every 7 to 10 wears, or sooner if the hair looks dull, feels heavy at the roots, or has picked up cooking or smoke odour.

A wig has no scalp feeding it oil, so it does not get greasy the way growing hair does. Washing more often than this strips the hair faster than it needs, and washing is the main thing that uses up a wig's life. Washing less often lets product and oil build up at the cap, which is what makes a wig look flat at the roots.

Between washes:

- Detangle with a wide-tooth comb or wig brush, starting at the ends and working up
- Curly and kinky textures: finger-detangle while damp with conditioner, never brush them dry
- Store on a wig stand, out of direct sunlight
- Keep heat styling under 300°F and always use a heat protectant
- Take it off at night. If you must sleep in it, braid it loosely and use a satin pillowcase

Wash in cool water, never warm or hot. Warm water opens the cuticle and loosens the knots the hair is tied with, which is what causes shedding at the parting.

1. Fill a basin with cool water and add a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo.
2. Submerge the wig and swirl it gently. Let it soak 5 to 10 minutes. Do not scrub.
3. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.
4. Apply conditioner to the lengths only. Keep it off the cap and away from the knots - conditioner there loosens the hand-tied strands.
5. Rinse again until the water runs clear. Residue left in the hair is one of the main causes of yellowing on gray blends.
6. Blot with a towel, never rub. Air dry on a wig stand.

Sulfates strip the hair fast, and on gray blends they also strip the tone that keeps the silver looking cool rather than yellow. Allow several hours to air dry - wash it on a day you are not wearing it, not the night before you need it.

Deep condition every 4 to 6 weeks, or whenever the ends start to feel dry.

1. Wash first in cool water with a sulfate-free shampoo, and squeeze out excess water.
2. Apply a deep conditioner or hair mask to the lengths and ends only. Keep it off the cap and away from the knots.
3. Leave it 20 to 30 minutes. Do not use heat.
4. Rinse thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear.
5. Blot with a towel and air dry on a wig stand.

Use a light leave-in cream rather than heavy oils. Coconut and olive oil build up on the hair, and buildup is one of the main causes of yellowing on gray and silver blends.

Skip hairspray and gel entirely - they are the worst offenders for both tangling and buildup.

Maintaining the pattern of a curly wig requires proper care and attention to prevent frizz and preserve the curls. Here are some tips:

1. Detangling:

Gently detangle the wig with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers, starting from the tips and working your way up. Avoid aggressive brushing to prevent disrupting the curl pattern.

2. Washing:

Use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for curly hair or wigs. Wash the wig in cold water and be gentle to avoid disturbing the curls.

3. Conditioning:

Apply a leave-in conditioner or a specialized curly hair product to keep the curls hydrated and defined. Use a light touch to avoid weighing down the curls.

4. Air Drying:

Allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand or a mannequin head to maintain its natural curl pattern. Avoid using heat styling tools, as excessive heat can cause the curls to loosen or become frizzy.

5. Avoiding Heat:

When heat styling, use a diffuser on a low heat setting to protect the hair. Excessive heat can damage the cuticle or alter the curl pattern of human hair wigs.

6. Sleeping Care:

Before bedtime, loosely braid or twist the wig to maintain the curls. Alternatively, use a satin or silk scarf or a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and prevent frizz.

7. Avoiding Harsh Products:

Stay away from products that contain alcohol or harsh chemicals, as these can strip the wig of its natural oils and lead to dryness and frizz.

8. Regular Maintenance:

Periodically inspect the wig for any signs of frizz, tangling, or damage. Address issues promptly to prevent them from worsening.

9. Protective Styles:

Consider protective styles, such as loose braids or twists, to minimize friction and maintain the curl pattern during periods when the wig is not in use.

10. Professional Styling:

If you're uncertain about maintaining the wig's curl pattern, consult a professional wig stylist. They can provide advice on care routines and offer styling tips.
