Afro Wigs
Afro and 4C salt and pepper wigs in 100% human hair - the tightest coil pattern we make, and the closest match to natural 4C hair.
A 4C pattern is what most Black hair actually does, and it is the texture the wig industry serves least. These are made to match it rather than to approximate it.
- Hangs at least 4 inches shorter than the labelled length, often more - size up if you want a specific length
- Never dyed - white hair blended with naturally dark hair, no bleach and no toner
- Glueless options - no adhesive on the hairline
- 100% human hair - washable, 8 to 12 months of regular wear
- Free US shipping in 3 to 7 business days, returns to our US warehouse
Length: 4C takes up the most height of any texture
Wig length is measured with the hair pulled straight. A 4C coil is the tightest pattern there is, so it uses up more vertical height than any other texture - at least 4 inches, and often more.
An afro is also worn as volume rather than as length, so most people should think about the shape they want rather than an inch number. If you do want the hair to reach a specific point, add at least 4 inches when you order.

Who it suits
- Natural 4B to 4C hair - the pattern matches, so the hairline blends
- Anyone who wants an afro without the growing-out phase
- Gray transitions - a salt and pepper afro reads as confidence rather than as concealment
Caring for 4C texture
Never brush it dry. Dry brushing destroys a 4C pattern faster than any other texture.
- Finger-detangle only, while damp and slippery with conditioner
- Wash every 7 to 10 wears in cool water with a sulfate-free shampoo
- Air dry on a stand, then pick it out gently to shape
- A light leave-in cream, not heavy oil - oil builds up and causes yellowing on gray
Frequently asked questions
How do I make it bigger?
Pick it out from the roots once fully dry, working in sections. Do not pick it while damp - that pulls the coil straight.
Is it heavier than other textures?
Not necessarily - volume is not weight. What decides weight is cap construction. A headband cap at 12 inches is around 120g; a 5x7 lace front at the same length is closer to 160g.
Can it be straightened?
It can, but we would not recommend it on 4C. The heat needed is high enough that the coil pattern will not fully return.
