Clip In Hair Extensions
Clip-in extensions are for women who still have their own hair and want more of it - not a wig.
They add length, thickness or a section of blended gray in a few minutes, clip out at the end of the day, and use no glue, tape or heat, so nothing is done to your own hair.
- For your own hair, not instead of it - keep your hairline, add volume where you want it
- No glue, no tape, no heat - clips in and out, no damage
- Salt and pepper blends - matched to graying hair, not solid colours
- From $69, 100% human hair, free US shipping in 3 to 7 business days
Are clip-ins right for you, or do you need a wig or topper?
| Your situation | What to choose |
|---|---|
| Your hair is a decent density but too short or too thin at the ends | Clip-in extensions - you are on the right page |
| Thinning specifically at the crown or along your part | Hair toppers cover the top rather than adding length |
| Significant thinning overall, or hair loss | A glueless wig gives full coverage |
| You just want a fuller ponytail | Ponytail extensions are quicker |
Matching gray hair is different from matching a colour
Solid-colour extensions are matched by shade number. Graying hair cannot be, because it is a mix - and the mix is uneven across your head. Two things make the difference:
- Match the blend, not the shade. Look at the section where you will actually clip the extensions in, usually the mid-lengths and underneath, rather than at your part line where gray is often heaviest.
- Go one shade lighter if you are torn. Extensions that are slightly lighter than your own hair read as natural highlights. Slightly darker reads as a block of separate hair.
See the four blends explained on our Salt & Pepper Wigs page - the same shade logic applies here.
How to wear them so they do not show
- Clip the widest piece across the back at about ear level, and always leave enough of your own hair loose above it to cover the clips.
- Backcomb the small section of your own hair where each clip sits. The clip grips far better and slides much less.
- Blend the ends. If your own hair is shorter, a small trim of the extension ends makes the join disappear.
- Take them out before you sleep. Clips left in overnight pull at the roots.
Frequently asked questions
Will clips damage my hair?
Not when they are worn correctly. The damage people report comes from wearing the same clip in the same spot every day, or sleeping in them. Move the placement slightly between wears and take them out at night.
Can I curl or straighten them?
Yes, they are 100% human hair. Use a heat protectant and a moderate temperature, and style them off your head so you are not heating your own hair at the same time.
How long do they last?
With occasional wear, longer than a wig - typically a year or more. Wash them only when product builds up, usually every 15 to 20 wears, and store them flat or hanging rather than folded.

Q2: Will the color look natural?
A: Yes! Our Salt and Pepper wigs are carefully blended to mimic natural gray and white hair mixed with your original hair color. The result is soft, natural highlights that don’t look flat or artificial. We also offer popular color options like brown, golden highlights, and 99J burgundy highlights to suit your personal style.
Q3: Will the wig tangle or shed easily?

A: Caring for your wig is simple:
- Wash every 2–3 weeks depending on how often you wear it
