Length: what curly hair actually does

Stated length is measured on hair pulled straight. Curl pulls it back up. This is the single most common reason customers order the wrong size, so it is worth getting right before you choose.

Which curl pattern should you choose?

Kinky curly - tight, springy coils with the most volume. Closest to natural 4a-4c hair. The most concealing, and the shortest-hanging.
Jerry curly - defined spiral curls, slightly looser than kinky. Holds shape well and needs less daily refreshing.
Water wave - soft, bouncy S-waves. The easiest curl to run your fingers through and the least likely to tangle at the nape.
Body wave - a gentle wave rather than a curl. Reads as blow-dried hair. Good if you want movement without obvious curl.
Loose curly - between jerry and water wave. A relaxed, everyday curl.

Caring for a curly human hair wig

Never brush it dry. Detangle with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb only while damp and conditioned. Dry brushing is what turns a defined curl into frizz permanently.
Wash every 7 to 10 wears in cool water with a sulfate-free shampoo. Squeeze downward, never scrub or wring.
Air dry on a wig stand. Heat drying loosens the curl pattern over time.
