Body wave wigs in salt and pepper and gray blends - a loose, open wave that reads as hair that has been lightly blow-dried rather than curled.

Body wave is the softest wave we make. It adds volume and movement without any obvious pattern, which is why it is the most forgiving texture for anyone who does not want a wig to look styled.

  • Hangs about 2 to 2.5 inches shorter than the labelled length
  • Never dyed - white hair blended with naturally dark hair, no bleach and no toner
  • The most natural-looking texture for hair that has thinned - wave hides a sparse crown better than straight hair
  • 100% human hair - washable, heat-styleable, 8 to 12 months of regular wear
  • Free US shipping in 3 to 7 business days, returns to our US warehouse

Length: what body wave actually does

Wig length is measured with the hair pulled straight, as it is across the industry. Because body wave curls gently, it hangs about 2 to 2.5 inches higher than the number on the label.

Work backwards from where you want the hair to sit and add that difference. See the measured comparison across four textures.

Who it suits

  • Anyone who wants volume without a visible curl pattern
  • Thinning hair - wave creates the appearance of density that straight hair cannot
  • Work and everyday wear - it reads as your own hair on a good day rather than as a style

Caring for body wave

Wash every 7 to 10 wears in cool water with a sulfate-free shampoo. Detangle from the ends upward with a wide-tooth comb, ideally while damp.

Air dry on a stand. A little mousse at the roots while damp restores volume if the wave has dropped.

Full care routine.

Frequently asked questions

How is body wave different from water wave?
Body wave is looser and less defined - closer to a blow-dried wave. Water wave has a tighter, more visible ripple. Both hang about the same amount shorter than labelled.

Will it go flat?
It relaxes over a day, as real hair does. Washing brings the pattern back.

Can I straighten it?
Yes - 100% human hair. Under 300°F with a heat protectant. Straightened, it hangs at full labelled length.
