Is Dark Salt & Pepper your shade?

Yes, if: your gray is mostly at your temples and along your hairline, and the rest of your hair still reads as dark. You are usually somewhere between your late thirties and early fifties, and you want the gray to look like something you have, not something you chose.

Look one shade lighter, if: your gray has already spread past your temples into your part line or crown. In that case Medium Salt & Pepper will blend with your own regrowth instead of contrasting with it.

Our wigs can read slightly darker in person than in studio photos, so if you are torn between Dark and Medium, choose Medium.

The most common worry with this shade

"Will anyone even notice the gray?" That is the point. Dark Salt & Pepper is designed so the silver catches the light rather than dominating it. If you want the gray to be clearly visible in ordinary indoor lighting, you want Medium or Standard instead.

Good to know before you order

Curly textures shrink. Kinky curly and jerry curly hang about 4 inches shorter than the stated length, water wave about 2 inches shorter, and straight textures hang true to length. If you are between sizes on a curly style, order one length longer.

Cap fit. Our standard cap measures 22.5 inches with a breathable elastic band and adjustable drawstring, so you set the fit yourself. Custom sizes are available through our Customization Service.

Can I wear this if my own hair is dyed dark?
Yes, and it is one of the easiest transitions. Dark Salt & Pepper sits close to a natural dark base, so as your own gray grows in the wig starts to look more like your real hair rather than less.

Will it look wrong once I gray further?
It will start to contrast with your regrowth. Most customers move up to Medium when the gray reaches their part line. Because you are only replacing the wig and not your own hair, you can change shade whenever the balance shifts.

Is this shade available glueless?
Yes. Headband, V-part and wear-and-go styles in this shade need no adhesive, which also makes them a safe choice if your edges are thinning.

A: Yes! The wig cap is very stretchy – 22.8 inches at rest and up to 23 inches when stretched. It also has adjustable straps inside so you can make it tighter or looser for a secure, comfortable fit that stays in place all day.
