Is Light Salt & Pepper your shade?

Yes, if: your hair has already transitioned and reads as silver or white, with very little dark left anywhere. You have finished the grow-out and you want to keep that colour rather than step back toward dark.

Look one shade darker, if: you still have a meaningful amount of dark hair, particularly underneath or at the back. Standard Salt & Pepper will sit closer to your real pattern.

"Will silver wash me out?" This is the fair question, and the answer depends less on the hair than on what sits next to it. Three things reliably help:

Contrast at the neckline. Silver hair against a pale top with no contrast is what drains colour. A darker or more saturated top does most of the work.

Good to know before you order

Curly textures shrink. Kinky curly and jerry curly hang about 4 inches shorter than the stated length, water wave about 2 inches shorter, and straight textures hang true to length. If you are between sizes on a curly style, order one length longer.

Cap fit. Our standard cap measures 22.5 inches with a breathable elastic band and adjustable drawstring, so you set the fit yourself. Custom sizes are available through our Customization Service.

How do I keep silver hair from going brassy?
Warmth builds up from hard water, styling product and sun rather than from the hair itself. Wash every 7 to 10 wears with a sulfate-free shampoo in cool water, rinse thoroughly, and air dry on a wig stand. Avoid leaving it in direct sun.

Is this the right choice while I am still transitioning?
Usually not. During the grow-out your own hair is genuinely two-toned, so a blend with more dark in it - Standard or Medium - will match your roots better. Light is where most customers land once the transition is finished.

Does this shade come in glueless styles?
Yes. Headband, V-part and wear-and-go styles in Light need no adhesive, which makes them suitable if your edges are thinning or you have traction alopecia.
